England to launch COVID-19 contact tracing app beta with hesitation over proximity limits

<p>England’s long-awaited COVID-19 contact tracing application will officially begin beta testing this week, according to a new report from the BBC (https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-53095336?xtor=AL-72-%5Bpartner%5D-%5Bbbc.news.twitter%5D-%5Bheadline%5D-%5Bnews%5D-%5Bbizdev%5D-%5Bisapi%5D&amp;at_custom3=%40BBCTech&amp;at_campaign=64&amp;at_custom4=0D545692-B15E-11EA-A58D-2C044844363C&amp;at_custom1=%5Bpost+type%5D&amp;at_custom2=twitter&amp;at_medium=custom7#). The app is based on the Exposure Notification API developed by Apple and Google, but there is apparently one key problem that developers are still trying to resolve.</p>
