tvOS 14.5 beta hints at a potential redesign of the Apple TV remote

Could we finally see a redesign to the Apple TV remote?

The "Siri Remote" is being removed in the latest tvOS 14.5 beta.
It is being replaced with "Apple TV Remote".


We could finally be in store for a redesign of the Apple TV remote, one of the most polarizing Apple products to ever exist.

As reported by MacRumors, the fifth beta of tvOS 14.5 is removing mentions of the "Siri Remote" and placing it with "Apple TV Remote."


  The Siri Remote has always been the Apple TV Remote in countries where Siri functionality is not available on the Apple TV, but now Apple is using the Apple TV Remote wording in countries where the remote was previously referred to as the Siri Remote.


While this isn't a direct indication that Apple will completely redesign its remote for the Apple TV for the next generation, it does seem that the company is looking to simplify what it calls the remote for its streaming box.
