AirTag shipping times begin to slip into May following the first pre-orders

<p><strong>Update 1:15 p.m. PT: </strong>Both the 1-pack and 4-pack SKUs of the AirTag are now back-ordered until May. The Hermès versions and accessories are back-ordered until June. </p>
<p>Apple’s long-rumored AirTag item tracker was officially announced (https://9to5mac.com/2021/04/20/apple-announces-airtag-accessories-that-cost-more-than-the-device/) earlier this week, and now it’s available (https://9to5mac.com/2021/04/23/airtag-purple-iphone-available-to-order/) to order. Pre-orders opened this morning at 5 a.m. PT/8 a.m. ET, but shipping times are already starting to slip. </p>
