Bloomberg: Apple developing ‘iPad-based’ HomeKit smart display and combo HomePod + Apple TV with camera

<p>Apple may have just introduced a new HomePod today (https://9to5mac.com/2023/01/18/apple-second-gen-homepod/), but more is still in the works. According to a new report from Bloomberg (https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-01-18/apple-to-expand-smart-home-lineup-taking-on-amazon-and-google), Apple is working on a “slate of devices” for the smart home, including new displays and a faster Apple TV set-top box. One of these products is “essentially a low-end iPad” meant to control HomeKit and handle FaceTime calls.</p>
