Qualcomm swears it’s not worried about Apple making its own iPhone modems

<p>Even though the two companies <a href="https://9to5mac.com/2019/04/16/apple-qualcomm-settlement/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">have a testy relationship[/url], Apple has historically relied on Qualcomm for modems. The C1 chip in the iPhone 16e (https://9to5mac.com/2025/02/19/apple-reveals-c1-its-first-in-house-5g-iphone-modem-replacing-qualcomm/) is Apple’s first step toward breaking up with Qualcomm. </p>



<p>Qualcomm, however, says it’s not worried about the competition posed by Apple’s foray into modems…</p>
