Apple Prepares Software Update to Fix iPad Wi-Fi Problems

Apple is owning up to the Wi-Fi problems plaguing iPad owners and is purportedly preparing a software update, according to a new tech note. The source mentions that, "Apple will also address remaining Wi-Fi connectivity issues with a  future iPad software update."The problems that have been reported include forgotten network passwords, weak Wi-Fi signals, and other networking issues. Apple does note, however, that these issues affect only a "small number" of iPads. If you are having problems and want a quick solution (other than waiting around on Apple), then there are a few options listed in the same tech note, including:- Update your Wi-Fi router firmware- Use a WPA or WPA2 wireless security- Adjust the screen brightness- Renew the IP address of the deviceApple doesn't give a specific date of when this update will hit the streets, but for those experiencing problems, the update can't come soon enough.via 9to5 Mac
