iPad Production Hits 2.5 Million Per Month

In the wake of potential Hon Hai problems, a new report claims that Apple may have ramped up production of the  iPad to 2.5 million devices per month. In a report by Sterne Agee, analyst Vijay Rakesh claims that the manufacturing bottlenecks that were previously reported have since been fixed.“[Vijay Rakesh's] checks with the company’s supply chain finds that the company has  been been producing the tablet at a rate of 1 million to 1.5 million  units a month--higher than most estimates--and that production could  crank up to 2.5 million units a month or more in the September quarter.  He says that some previous manufacturing bottlenecks have been solved,  though memory remains a constraint,” says  Eric Savitz from Barron's.We suspect that this ramp in production has something to do with the international launch of the device and the great iPad consumer satisfaction rates that have been reported.via 9to5 Mac
