Title: Snow Kitty Fail (Sort of)
Post by: NovaM on October 18, 2009, 11:06:08 pm
So, a knabbed a Snow Leopard install disk online, only one I've seen so far...

Burned it, booted it, installed it... Everything goes through shiny... Unlike most of the Live DVD's I've found iDeneb ect... Almost all of them seem to crash on install when they start the installation cleanup *shrug*

At any rate, this installs without a hitch, all looks good.

When I start to boot from the hard drive with 10.6 installed, Darwin comes up, it begins booting, but then comes up with a kernel panic every time.

Trace comes back from a cpu panic, but I can't seem to get any boot flags (cpus=1) to do anything.

Any help might be appreciated...

Specs:

Asus P5K-VM
Intel Core2 Quad Q6700
4gigs DDR2 800
SATA HDD configured to AHCI
Radeon HD3850
