Title: Snow Leopard i5 Build Post by: D.Clark on April 01, 2010, 04:26:39 pm Hey
I got my white MacBook 3 months ago and i like it alot. Before I got it i wanted to install ideneb on my self built PC (AMD Phenom 955 x4 ,Ati 4850 HD,8 GB DDR2 RAM,) I tried hard but couldn't get it to work. 2 months into having bought my MacBook my PC overheated or something(im not sure what the cause was) so my Mainboard CPU and PSU is broken. So I tought i'd get new Parts but this time not install windows and try to dual boot Mac but just to get Parts that are compatible and will work with Mac OS X 10.6 and install it. Maybe i'd use a Intel i5 750 CPU and an Asus board + 4GB of DDR3 OCZ RAM + New 700 - 750 W PSU (+ 4850 HD 512 mb, Coolermaster Cm690 Case, 500 GB WD Sata 7200 RPM HardDisk from my PC). I want to make sure that I can run Mac Os X 10.6 (using the install Disk from my Macbook) on the Hardware im going to buy.I hope you can help me put together an "i5-Ati4850-Mac OS X" System and tell me which Hardware combinations will work. Thanx Title: Re: Snow Leopard i5 Build Post by: D.Clark on April 02, 2010, 12:47:24 pm Well iv'e got a basic configuration for now. I'd be happy to hear some suggestions
