FTC: Apple, Google don’t have to police app stores for kids’ privacy violations

The commission instituted new rules that state app makers have to get parental consent when it comes to sharing the personal information, like photos and location. The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple and Google lobbied heavily to get an app store exemption into the rules.
