Expo Notes: Henge Horizontal Dock for MacBook

HengeHorizontal Dock
Seeing Henge’s Horizontal Dock at Macworld/iWorld brought back memories of the beloved PowerBook Duo and more specifically, the Duo Dock.

The $249 Horizonal Dock looks nothing like the Duo Dock, but it serves a similar puprose as a docking station for your laptop. When you pop in your MacBook, you inrease the number of ports available to you—you get six USB 3 ports, a FireWire 800 port, two audio out ports, a ethernet port, three video ports, and an SD card slot.

The Horizontal Dock impressed the Macworld editor’s enough to give it a Best of Show award.
MacworldGravitas
Henge also showed the $69 Gravitas, a metal dock that’s quite heavy, so when you pull your iOS device out of the Gravitas, it stays put. The Gravitas has swappable inserts so you can insure a proper fit for your device, and it’s also available with a 30-pin or Lightning connector.
