Corning is the company that makes the glass that sits on top of your iPhone and iPad. They also make the glass that sits on top of Samsung’s Galaxy S4. Due to the fact that the GS4 shipped after the iPhone 5, by quite a few months actually, the GS4 uses Corning’s new Gorilla Glass 2 technology, whereas the iPhone 5 doesn’t.
