More surfing: Google enables data compression for Chrome in Android and iOS

After testing an experimental data saving feature for the past 10 months, Google made it available for everyone today. Using Chrome on Android or iOS with data compression on, Google says you can surf the same as before but use half the amount of data.<img alt="" border="0" src="http://stats.wordpress.com/b.gif?host=gigaom.com&blog=14960843&post=792146&subd=gigaom2&ref=&feed=1" width="1" height="1" />
