Twitter quietly extends Bing translation to iPhone and iPad apps

<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p><a href='http://www.imore.com/twitter-quietly-extends-bing-translation-iphone-and-ipad-apps' title="Twitter quietly extends Bing translation to iPhone and iPad apps"><img src='http://www.imore.com/sites/imore.com/files/styles/large_wm_blw/public/field/image/2014/06/twitter_translate_5s_hero.JPG?itok=zjdk9vQt' />[/url]</p> <p>Twitter (http://www.imore.com/twitter) has quietly extended its translation feature, powered by Microsoft's Bing (http://www.imore.com/tag/bing), to its iPhone (http://www.imore.com/iphone) and iPad (http://www.imore.com/ipad) apps, after previously including that option in its Android version.</p> <!--break--> <p>The server-side update now allows users of those apps to view an option that, when tapped, displays a translated version of an individual tweet below that of the native language of the user. Twitter has yet to officially announce this new feature.</p> <p>The move is yet another example of Microsoft expanding its Bing services beyond the web or its Windows platforms.
