Sure, the long weekend may have seen you and your pals gathered around the barbecue, quaffing sudsy libations and setting things on fire but there was no rest for the gallant latex-gloved, ill-fitting-uniformed members of our own Transportation Security Administration or, well, robots. And don’t get us started on the hard-working Apple engineers who focused—despite the clangor of bombs bursting in air—on technologies designed for the home and wrist.</p><p>
