The service is being rolled out to Apple Stores across the US, although at this stage there is no confirmation as to whether all locations would be able to service broken screens.</p> <!--break--> <p>The in-store screen replacement service would set users back in the vicinity of $149, based on whether they have AppleCare+. The number is much less than the $269 Apple currently quotes to send the device to a service center. To fix iPhone 5S broken screens on-site, Apple is said to be using the same machine that handles installation and calibration of iPhone 5 and 5C displays.</p> <p>Did you ever have to send out your iPhone for screen damage? How long did the process take?</p> <p>Source: AppleInsider (http://appleinsider.com/articles/14/08/04/apple-stores-begin-on-site-iphone-5s-screen-replacements)</p> </div></div></div><div id="comment-wrapper-nid-26163"></div><img width='1' height='1' src='http://tipb.com.feedsportal.com/c/33998/f/616881/s/3d30bdc3/sc/15/mf.gif' border='0'/><br clear='all'/> <a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/204366222317/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/3d30bdc3/sc/15/rc/1/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/204366222317/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/3d30bdc3/sc/15/rc/1/rc.img" border="0"/> <a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/204366222317/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/3d30bdc3/sc/15/rc/2/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/204366222317/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/3d30bdc3/sc/15/rc/2/rc.img" border="0"/> <a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/204366222317/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/3d30bdc3/sc/15/rc/3/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/204366222317/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/3d30bdc3/sc/15/rc/3/rc.img" border="0"/> <img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/204366222317/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/3d30bdc3/sc/15/a2.img" border="0"/> (http://da.feedsportal.com/r/204366222317/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/3d30bdc3/sc/15/a2.htm)<img width="1" height="1" src="http://pi.feedsportal.com/r/204366222317/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/3d30bdc3/sc/15/a2t.img" border="0"/><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/TheIphoneBlog/~4/MMBTFDk3FII" height="1" width="1"/> Source: Apple Stores commence in-store screen replacements for iPhone 5s (http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/TheIphoneBlog/~3/MMBTFDk3FII/story01.htm) |
