Apple's HomeKit is ready to shake up the connected home market

HomeKit is one of the most mysterious features of iOS 8, because when Apple unwrapped it at WWDC (http://www.macworld.com/article/2357527/apples-homekit-will-bring-smart-home-control-to-ios-8.html) in June, the company was really talking to developers.
