Apple plans to ship 80 million iPhone 6 units through the end of 2014

Apple appears to be poised for strong demand surrounding the new 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus announced at the Cupertino-based company’s product event earlier this week. According to DigiTimes, citing sources within the Taiwan-based iPhone supply chain, Apple aims to ship 80 million iPhone 6 units before the end of the year.
