Apple event reportedly set for October 16 with new iPads, Macs

This is expected to be the debut of the new iPads (http://www.imore.com/ipad), new Macs, and OS X Yosemite (http://www.imore.com/os-x-yosemite). <p>Apple has a few more new products to unveil before the year is out, and it plans to show them off in a couple weeks. Sources tell Code/red the company will hold its next special event on Thursday, Oct. 16 — not the 21st. Headlining the gathering: The latest updates to its iPad line, along with those new iMacs that 9to5Mac told us about earlier this week. Also: OS X Yosemite.</p>

<p>A Retina display iMac (http://www.imore.com/new-rumor-claims-retina-display-imacs-are-late-testing-stages-apple) has been rumored to be close to launch. Additionally, Apple recently released the first Yosemite GM candidate (http://www.imore.com/apple-releases-os-x-yosemite-gm-candidate-10-developers) to developers, along with calling on them to submit their apps to the Mac App Store, suggesting an imminent release.</p> <p>What are you hoping to see at Apple's October event?
