Noonan's comments were made in Brussels, and he said that the EU doesn't have a strong case.</p> <!--break--> <p>My legal advice is that the Irish authorities will win the case quite easily and that there isn't a very strong case by the Commission. It's more likely that investigation will be dropped rather than there being further investigations.</p><p>The European Commission is investigating if any EU laws (http://www.imore.com/eu-accuse-apple-illegal-irish-tax-deal) were broken as a result of a tax deal between Ireland and Apple.</p> <p>Source: Reuters (http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/11/07/us-apple-ireland-tax-idUSKBN0IR26N20141107?feedType=RSS&feedName=technologyNews)</p> </div></div></div><div id="comment-wrapper-nid-28236"></div><img width='1' height='1' src='http://tipb.com.feedsportal.com/c/33998/f/616881/s/40451578/sc/7/mf.gif' border='0'/><br clear='all'/> <a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/211597337197/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/40451578/sc/7/rc/1/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/211597337197/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/40451578/sc/7/rc/1/rc.img" border="0"/> <a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/211597337197/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/40451578/sc/7/rc/2/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/211597337197/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/40451578/sc/7/rc/2/rc.img" border="0"/> <a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/211597337197/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/40451578/sc/7/rc/3/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/211597337197/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/40451578/sc/7/rc/3/rc.img" border="0"/> <img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/211597337197/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/40451578/sc/7/a2.img" border="0"/> (http://da.feedsportal.com/r/211597337197/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/40451578/sc/7/a2.htm)<img width="1" height="1" src="http://pi.feedsportal.com/r/211597337197/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/40451578/sc/7/a2t.img" border="0"/><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/TheIphoneBlog/~4/ITlpnXAnVg0" height="1" width="1"/> Source: Irish Finance Minister expects EU to drop Apple tax investigation (http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/TheIphoneBlog/~3/ITlpnXAnVg0/story01.htm) |
