               New reports from inside Apple’s MFi licensing program indicate that we may see third-party Apple-certified Lightning to USB-C cables go on sale early in the new year. MacRumors reports that members of Appel’s MFi program have now been given the go-ahead to manufacture Lightning to USB-C cables for charging and syncing, along with a new Lightning connector (part C94) that MFi partners can now order from Apple.
