Title: Will this build work for a hackintosh?
Post by: Bronzebeast on March 30, 2012, 09:16:22 pm
I have chosen these parts for a computer and I would like to know if they would work for a hackintosh build. The parts are:
-GIGABYTE GA-Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 Motherboard
-Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz Quad-Core Unlocked CPU
-Sony Optiarc AD7280S-OB 24x DVDRW Drive
-Corsair CMX4GX3M1A1333C9 XMS3 4GB DDR3 RAM (2)
-Patriot Pyro 2.5" 120GB SATA III SSD
-Thermaltake V3 Black Edition Mid Tower Case
-Ultra LSP550 550-Watt Power Supply

I was wondering if it would work for a hackintosh, and also what graphics card should I get with it if this does work.

Also if anyone knows of a better build for about $600 could you let me know.

I have also found another build that includes a graphics card. Its another $100 but it includes a graphics card. Would this build work for a hackintosh also?:
-GIGABYTE GA-Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 Motherboard
-Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz Quad-Core Unlocked CPU
-Gigabyte Radeon HD 6870 OverClocked 1GB GDDR5
-Patriot 4GB DDR3-1333MHz G2 Desktop Memory Module (2)
-Thermaltake V3 Black Edition Mid Tower Case
-Diablotek PSDA600 DA Series 600W ATX Power Supply
-Seagate Barracuda 1TB Hard Drive
-Sony Optiarc AD7280S-OB 24x DVDRW Drive

Sorry I can't figure this out myself, I'm not the greatest with building computers, especially hackintosh builds.
If you have a suggestion about an i7 build I would be interested in hearing it. Thanks
