IBM’s WatchPad offered circles for its UI, a crown-based input system and more way back in 2001

When Apple unveiled the Watch, the company’s attempt at taking over the wearables market, the noteworthy things immediately stood out: square design, circles for the UI, a crown-based input system. Turns out, those things already existed.
