The photo, supplied by Apple, was taken at a slightly different angle than a similar image taken from a drone earlier in November (http://www.imore.com/drone-over-apples-new-campus-shows-progress).

The "spaceship" design is clearly seen in the new photo, which will hold 12,000 employees inside over 2.8 million square feet. According to the City of Cupertino's schedule, Campus 2 will complete its street utilities and demolition work by the end of 2014, and earthwork will end sometime in the middle of 2015. The actual construction phase started in mid-2014 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016.

Source: City of Cupertino (http://www.cupertino.org/index.aspx?page=1223); via 9to5Mac (http://9to5mac.com/2014/11/24/apple-cupertino-campus-2-aerial-shot-construction-progress/)
