The interface still plugs into the headphone jack on your iPhone or iPad, letting you send your guitar's signals to compatible apps. iRig 2 has added a gain control for precise input gain adjustment for their instrument.</p> <p>From IK Multimedia:</p>

<p>Alongside it's 1/8-inch headphone output, iRig 2 now has a 1/4-inch output to connect to an amplifier. This allows you to take iRig 2 on stage with you, and you can plug it into a guitar amplifier or speakers without an adapter.
