top writing apps, has seen major updates on both Mac and iPad. The text editor has added support for .DOCX file export, as well as several new options for backup to keep your work safe.</p> <!--break--> <p>Both apps have also added new backup options. Backups can be scheduled to automatically take place hourly, daily, and weekly. On the Mac, hourly backups will cover your last 12 hours of work, with 6 on the iPad. Daily backups will save the last seven days on the Mac, or five on the iPad. Weekly backups will save up to the last six months of work, while on the iPad, they'll save the last two.</p> <p>Ulysses for Mac also lets you convert the Markup of multiple sheets at the same time, as well as printing from the Markdown preview, and text can now be dragged from the editor to attachments to create a new note.</p> <p>On the iPad, you can now merge two sheets into one, or split a sheet at your chosen insertion point. You can also set writing goals for yourself for Ulysses to track, and you can now collapse groups.
