Disney+ is about to get more expensive in the United States

Disney is ready to up the price of its streaming service for the first time.

What you need to know


Disney+ is hiking its prices this Friday.
All of the monthly subscriptions will increase by $1.
The yearly subscription will also increase by $10.


Disney+, one of the most popular streaming services in the world, is about to get more expensive for subscribers in the United States.

As reported by MacRumors, the price hike comes after the service has passed a major landmark of over 100 million subscribers.


  Disney+ first announced the price increase back in December, and it comes following many successful TV show releases like "The Mandalorian," "WandaVision," and "Falcon and the Winter Soldier," along with movies like "Soul."
 
  As of March, Disney+ has surpassed 100 million subscribers.


The Disney+ website breaks down the price increases as follows:


Disney+ will now be $7.99/month or $79.99/year
Disney Bundle with Hulu (Ad-supported) will now be $13.99/month
