Victrola's new Hi-Res wireless turntables won't require a Sonos setup

<p>Victrola has introduced two new premium turntables: the Hi-Res Carbon and Hi-Res Onyx. Both products have built-in Qualcomm audio hardware that will allow for wireless vinyl record play to any Bluetooth or aptX-enabled speakers or headphones. This hardware upgrade is a major shift away from Victrola’s <a data-i13n="cpos:1;pos:1" href="https://www.engadget.com/victrola-stream-onyx-sonos-compatible-turntable-170005859.html">previous lineup which was only compatible with <a data-i13n="cpos:2;pos:1" href="https://www.engadget.com/victrola-stream-carbon-sonos-enabled-turntable-120100279.html">Sonos speakers.</p><p>The turntables support Bluetooth 5.4 and Bluetooth LE and feature Qualcomm’s <a data-i13n="cpos:3;pos:1" href="https://www.aptx.com/aptx-adaptive?gclid=CjwKCAjw6eWnBhAKEiwADpnw9sh0YwAj8Zvlv9YRoj-N2O7hosTRDcBOJ6uiyhyOEKNYZt7kKGTuMBoCwM4QAvD_BwE">aptX Adaptive audio technologies. The Hi-Res models will still feature RCA outputs for self-powered wired speakers for the more traditional crowd.</p><span id="end-legacy-contents"></span><p>Victrola’s Hi-Res Carbon and Hi-Res Onyx models are priced at <a data-i13n="elm:affiliate_link;sellerN:Victrola;elmt:;cpos:4;pos:1" href="https://shopping.yahoo.com/rdlw?merchantId=f20eb971-3cdb-4a40-93f4-40cdcd920790&amp;siteId=us-engadget&amp;pageId=1p-autolink&amp;featureId=text-link&amp;merchantName=Victrola&amp;custData=eyJzb3VyY2VOYW1lIjoiV2ViLURlc2t0b3AtVmVyaXpvbiIsInN0b3JlSWQiOiJmMjBlYjk3MS0zY2RiLTRhNDAtOTNmNC00MGNkY2Q5MjA3OTAiLCJsYW5kaW5nVXJsIjoiaHR0cHM6Ly92aWN0cm9sYS5jb20vcHJvZHVjdHMvdmljdHJvbGEtaGktcmVzLWNhcmJvbi10dXJudGFibGUiLCJjb250ZW50VXVpZCI6IjliYjczNjAxLTg2NzMtNGZkOC1iNTE1LWNlZjFiMzc3OWNjYSJ9&amp;signature=AQAAAS2Y0AEe0ynq8gDZ0ugKx-VOycjd7mhE3sM9xkkmvcwC&amp;gcReferrer=https%3A%2F%2Fvictrola.com%2Fproducts%2Fvictrola-hi-res-carbon-turntable" class="rapid-with-clickid" data-original-link="https://victrola.com/products/victrola-hi-res-carbon-turntable">$599 and <a data-i13n="elm:affiliate_link;sellerN:Victrola;elmt:;cpos:5;pos:1" href="https://shopping.yahoo.com/rdlw?merchantId=f20eb971-3cdb-4a40-93f4-40cdcd920790&amp;siteId=us-engadget&amp;pageId=1p-autolink&amp;featureId=text-link&amp;merchantName=Victrola&amp;custData=eyJzb3VyY2VOYW1lIjoiV2ViLURlc2t0b3AtVmVyaXpvbiIsInN0b3JlSWQiOiJmMjBlYjk3MS0zY2RiLTRhNDAtOTNmNC00MGNkY2Q5MjA3OTAiLCJsYW5kaW5nVXJsIjoiaHR0cHM6Ly92aWN0cm9sYS5jb20vcHJvZHVjdHMvdmljdHJvbGEtaGktcmVzLW9ueXgtdHVybnRhYmxlIiwiY29udGVudFV1aWQiOiI5YmI3MzYwMS04NjczLTRmZDgtYjUxNS1jZWYxYjM3NzljY2EifQ&amp;signature=AQAAAbwAfKxBrVb5A9oNhn1NsUofYDDRCo2G1mRNZv5UfOpm&amp;gcReferrer=https%3A%2F%2Fvictrola.com%2Fproducts%2Fvictrola-hi-res-onyx-turntable" class="rapid-with-clickid" data-original-link="https://victrola.com/products/victrola-hi-res-onyx-turntable">$399, respectively, and are available today.
