Apple’s map manager gets shown the door (accurately, we hope), Siri will soon do everything but drive your car (thankfully), and one user dreams of the Apple TV (that will never be). The remainders for Tuesday, November 27, 2012 know where they’re going, but they don’t know where they been.
Apple Said to Fire Maps Manager After Flaws Hurt IPhone 5 (Bloomberg)
Bloomberg reports that Apple has sacked the manager in charge of iOS 6’s Maps. Richard Williamson was supposedly ousted by senior vice president Eddy Cue, who took charge of Maps in the wake of Scott Forstall’s departure late last month. You know, this is a step up for Apple. It wasn’t so long ago that the company would have tried to fire the Washington Monument for not being two-dimensional.
