Apple in Talks With Foursquare About Data-Sharing Deal (Wall Street Journal, subscription required)
Apple’s been pretty judicious about the deals its made with social networks, but the company may be looking to add one more company to its portfolio. The Journal reports that Eddy Cue has been been in talks with Foursquare to integrate its local information into Maps on iOS. Further evidence came from check-ins by Cue posted to his Twitter account, which only exacerbated my fear that the Apple VP will someday be the mayor of OH MY GOD HE’S RIGHT BEHIND YOU.
