NY Attorney General summons Apple, others over smartphone thefts
Smartphones are accounting for a higher proportion of thefts in the U.S. with each passing day, and the U.S. government is trying to stop this by asking smartphone manufacturers to develop technologies that makes stolen phones useless. In the latest move, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has summoned Apple, Google, Samsung and Microsoft for a summit next week in New York to discuss these thefts.
