<p>FORTUNE --Apple has reportedly signed leases for two new Manhattan retail stores -- the city's sixth and seventh -- in venues that couldn't be more different.</p>
<p>On the fashionable Upper East Side, the company is taking over a 93-year-old marble and limestone bank building currently occupied by a purveyor of high-end handbags, according to ifoapplestore's Gary Allen.</p>
