Typed, a new Mac text editor that works with Markdown, the text to HTML conversion tool that's gained much popularity with web content creators in recent years.</p> <!--break--> <p>Realmac depends on Markdown as well — not only to create content for their own site but also as a feature in existing products. Markdown support is coming to Ember, Realmac's image collation and annotation app, as well as Rapidweaver, its visual web page creation tool.</p>
<p>As we worked on these features, however, we found ourselves questioning the existing Markdown apps that we use - much as we love some of the writing apps out there right now, they weren't quite right. So, we're building a dedicated Markdown editor of our own - and it's called Typed.</p>
<p>Typed will feature a minimal UI with licensed fonts, full screen support, HTML preview, word and character counts, auto save support and extensive keyboard shortcuts. Realmac plans support for Mavericks and Yosemite when Typed launches.</p> <p>A price has also been set — $19.99, though early adopters will be able to buy Typed for $9.99.</p> <p>There's no info yet on release date, but you can visit the Realmac web site to sign up for details once they're available.</p> </div></div></div><div id="comment-wrapper-nid-25790"></div><img width='1' height='1' src='
