Apple will require iOS 8 SDK and 64-bit support in iOS apps starting February 2015

<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p><a href='http://www.imore.com/apple-will-require-ios-8-sdk-and-64-bit-support-ios-apps-starting-february-2015' title="Apple will require iOS 8 SDK and 64-bit support in iOS apps starting February 2015"><img src='http://www.imore.com/sites/imore.com/files/styles/large/public/field/image/2014/06/wwdc14_banners_ios8.jpg?itok=ZLHAy_l4' /></p> <p>Apple began notifying developers today of some big changes coming to app submissions to the App Store. Listed on the developers news portal, Apple will require that all <a href="www.imore.com/ios-8-apps">apps and app updates use the iOS 8 SDK and include 64-bit support starting in February of 2015.</p> <!--break--> <p>Writing against iOS' most current SDK is nothing new, as the company made similar demands for the iOS 7 SDK. What is new, however, is the requirement for 64-bit support.</p> <p>Though this news is targeted at developers, it will definitely be felt by customers as well, as 64-bit support will open apps up to large performance gains.</p> <p>Are you excited for potentially larger adoption of 64-bit support among your favorite iOS apps? Let us know in the comments.</p> <p>Source: iOS Developer News Portal</p> </div></div></div><div id="comment-wrapper-nid-27809"></div><img width='1' height='1' src='http://tipb.com.feedsportal.com/c/33998/f/616881/s/3fa5b698/sc/28/mf.gif' border='0'/><br clear='all'/>
