Author Topic: ATI Radeon HD 7970, weird chimera message  (Read 7024 times)

Hello guys,

I just bought a ATI Radeon HD 7970 and my mac os x is not booting anymore while my windows seven is still working great.

This is what I get instead of the chimera booting screen (attached file)

If I plug back my old ATI Radeon HD 5850, I can boot no problem.

Should I wait for a new Chimera or something ? Any other fix ?

Hi!

I read you post just by now and probably you solved your issue already, but just in case...

I had the same problem, then I used cloverfiled bootloader and everything worked well. You may get a white/black screen at the startup you can solve putting your computer to sleep and then waking it up again..
