Google Maps for iOS scored an update today, bringing it up to version 4.2. The update brings a few new notable features, including the ability to filter restaurant searches by food type, and view current weather information for cities the world over. Oh yeah, and the inevitable generic "bug fixes."</p> <!--break--> <p>Here's a quick run-down of what's new in version 4.2:</p>
<ul><li>Filter searches for restaurants by cuisine type</li> <li>See current weather information for cities around the world</li> <li>Drop a pin for your starting and destination points in directions and navigation</li> <li>Add transit directions to your calendar</li> <li>Bug fixes</li> </ul>
