China Unicom, China Telecom to sell iPad Air 2 and mini 3 starting March 27<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p class="intro">Both China Unicom and China Telecom have announced that they will begin carrying the Wi-Fi + Cellular versions of Apple's
iPad Air 2 and
iPad mini 3.</p> <!--break--> <p>The carriers will begin selling both tablets on March 27. Both the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 will be compatible with both TD-LTE and FDD-LTE standards need to use LTE in China. They will also support DC-HSPA and HSPA+ networking. Apple originally announced models of both devices
compatible with Chinese cellular networks back in December. The iPads will be sold through both retail and online stores for both China Telecom and China Unicom, as well as Apple's own retail and online stores.</p> <p>The iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 were originally released in October 2014. The Air features the familiar 9.7-inch Retina display, along with the new Apple A8X processor and
Touch ID. The iPad mini 3, also equipped with Touch ID, doesn't change much from iPad mini 2, still sporting the Apple A7 processor.</p> <p>Source:
