iPhone 6s has long been said to
include Force Touch capabilities, we may now have some idea how it will be implemented. Force Touch, which can recognize how hard a user presses with their finger, will reportedly be primarily focused on shortcuts across the system on the upcoming iPhone. It is said to be a replacement for existing lists and buttons. So rather than tapping an app's menu button, a user would Force Touch the app in order to bring up more options.</p> <!--break--> <p>According to
9to5Mac, Force Touch will offer a mix of new capabilities, as well as features migrating over from the Mac and Apple Watch.</p>
<p>New to the Force Touch experience, a user can look up a point of interest in the Maps application, and then Force Touch on the destination to immediately begin turn-by-turn directions. Currently, if a user wants to start navigating to a destination, she must search for the point of interest, click the navigation logo on the map view, then click another button to actually start navigating. In this case, the Force Touch gesture will skip two steps.</p>
<p>Developers will reportedly have access to Force Touch APIs as well. Beyond the new iPhones, Force Touch is said to be a major component of the rumored
iPad Pro, and will reportedly work in tandem with an Apple-built stylus.</p> <p>The iPhone 6s is expected to make its debut
as soon as next month. In addition to Force Touch, the phone is rumored to house an Apple A9 system-on-a-chip, 2GB of RAM, and a 12MP camera.</p> <p>Source:
