HomeKit-enabled version of its flagship product, in addition to two new smart home devices. With the HomeKit version of the Smart Lock, customers can use
Siri to lock and unlock their home or check the lock status at any time.</p> <!--break--> <p>August is also debuting two new accessories: the Smart Keypad and the Doorbell Cam. The Smart Keypad uses unique codes, which can be created both for one-time use or regular use by friends and family, and works alongside the Smart Lock. The keypad does not require a smartphone and is battery-operated. The Doorbell Cam lets you see and talk to visitors to your home before you open your door. It captures HD video at 140 degrees, and is Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi-enabled.</p> <p>All of this comes along with the announcement of August Access, a new free platform for August Smart Lock owners. Using the August app for iPhone, users can sign up for approved services to make deliveries to their homes, and control and monitor what gets delivered without the need to be home themselves. Real time notifications keep you informed about each delivery. August Access launch partners include Sears, Postmates, Pro.com, Handy, Fetch, Shyp, BloomNation, Envoy, Rinse, HelloAlfred, Wag!, Pillow, and Doorman.</p> <p>August's new smart home devices are all available for pre-order from August, Best Buy, and Amazon, with some products also coming to Apple Stores. A release date for these items has not been announced.
