Google buys iOS video app developer Fly Labs

<p>Google has been making a big photos push ever since the launch of its revamped Photos app and cloud storage service in May. To further bolster its Photos offering, Google on Friday bought up Fly Labs, maker of various videography apps for iOS. </p><p>According to a statement published to Fly Labs’s website, that company’s team will become part of the Google Photos development team, and that its technology will be integrated into the existing Google Photos apps.</p><p>“It’s a perfect match for what we built at Fly Labs, and we’re looking forward to folding our technology into Google Photos,” Fly Labs’s statement reads in part. “We’ll be pouring the same passion into Google Photos that we poured into Clips, Fly, Tempo and Crop on the Fly.”</p><p class="jumpTag"><a href="/article/3002697/photography/google-buys-ios-video-app-developer-fly-labs.html#jump">To read this article in full or to leave a comment, please click here[/url]</p></section></article>
