Apple hires former AMC PR exec to help promote Apple TV contentApple is apparently preparing to promote more content that can be found on Apple TV and iTunes. A new report claims that it has hired a former cable TV PR head, Bernadette Simpao, as its new public relations head for those divisions. According to Variety Simpao, formerly VP of corporate communications at AMC Networks, will handle PR efforts for content and apps related to Apple TV, as well as for iTunes TV and movies, apps, books and podcasts. Simpao declined to comment on her move to Apple. This new team member is coming to work at Apple even as unconfirmed reports claim that the company is developing its first original series for iTunes called Vital Signs.
