Australia's Apple Store leads with Black Friday discountsDown Under it's already Friday, so as is customary, the Australian version of the online Apple Store has already posted the holiday discounts it's offering for the day. All items include free shipping. The US and other online Apple Stores will probably hew quite closely to these discounts when they reveal their deal pages.
The savings hover around 8% for most items, although if you're looking for an iPod touch this holiday you might consider buying it tomorrow -- depending on capacity, you might save as much as 18% off retail.
Note that several domestic retailers (Walmart, Best Buy and Toys R Us among others) are expected to offer gift card bundles tomorrow on the iPod touch -- you'll get $30-$50 of store credit usable on a future visit. If you're a frequent shopper at the store, it's worth considering.
