Chipolo ONE Spot tracker costs $28, has a keyring hole, and ships in June

What you need to know


The Chipolo ONE Spot item tracker is now available for pre-order.
Like AirTag, the ONE Spot uses Apple's Find My network.


It's cheaper than AirTag and has a hole in it!

Apple's AirTag is understandably getting all of the attention right now, but it isn't the only item tracker in town. Chipolo is one of the first to piggyback off Apple's Find My network and now it has a new item tracker available for pre-order – Chipolo ONE Spot.

Available in black rather than AirTag's white, the new tags sell for $28 if you just want one and $90 if you want four. That's cheaper than Apple's AirTag, although not by much. And while you do get to use Apple's Find My network and app, you don't get the precision finding feature because there's no ultra-wideband chip here. Whether that matters to you, I'm not sure.

It might not though, because each ONE Spot comes with a 120dB alarm that will make it easy to hear so long as you're relatively close to it. That's something Apple...
