It shows all of the main characters wandering through, well, a strange new world.</p>

<p>For the uninitiated,
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds <a data-i13n="cpos:3;pos:1" href="
https://www.engadget.com/star-trek-strange-new-worlds-preview-040051197.html">follows Captain Christopher Pike[/url] and the crew of the USS Enterprise. This is the very same Enterprise that will one day be captained by James Kirk. It's a prequel, so there are new actors playing franchise legends like Spock, Uhura and Nurse Chapel.</p>
<p>Of course, as the show gets closer to the events of
The Original Series, more familiar characters have been popping up. Kirk has been all over the place and the same goes for Scotty. We've even gotten Sybok, Spock's half-brother who will one day lead the crew on a search to find God in the critically-reviled
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.</p>

<p>It's a neat show, with a mystery-of-the-week format that recalls classic Trek. Season two ended on a cliffhanger, so it'll be interesting to see how that shakes out. Season three of
Strange New Worlds looks to include a visit to the 1960s version of Star Trek, complete with period-accurate costumes and sets, and a murder-mystery set in the Holodeck (or something similar.)</p>This article originally appeared on Engadget at
