look here, i used the hack on my sons phone. It works perfectly.
The iphone is nice, he seems to enjoy it, but i feel its over rated.

but the new ipods look nice, its a shame they've cut the prices right back, i only have a 30gb and the 160gb looks tasty!

uhm, the link provided only activates the iphone. No unlock from AT&T just yet with that. So you wouldn't be able to use other sims. You would be able to use the iphone as a web-device and ipod.
The sim-unlock is here, but they are still working on a simple installer. Right now it's more the technocrati. The GUI version should be ready soon enough though

so if I already have at&t service and i want the use the iphone with the sim i have now without getting another two year contract, this would not help me?

i was wondering since i have verizon and there phones are cdma and they dont use the sim card is it still possible to get it on there just by changing the info on a sim card

no cause the Apple iPhone is GSM and VerizonWireless is CDMA ... totally different network

i try to install "anySIM" application to my iphone. & it failed to install to my iphone. now i have No Service. any body knows whats going on with this? HELP PLEASE!!! CAUSE I CAN'T MAKE ANY PHONE CALLS ON MY IPHONE OR GET THEM. i had restored my iphone so many times already.

Maybe u need try with some sftp and try to install in application?, sorry but im not sure to write in english
but that is all
and later run that anysim, restart and Ready!!!
the passwor if you install before the ssh is dottie or alpine if is 1.1.1
