One patent-holding firm says it will see Apple in court. Elsewhere, people continue to pontificate on Apple’s newest hire, and Walmart takes a page from Apple’s playbook—and uses Apple’s devices to do it. The remainders for Wednesday, March 20, 2013 are available where all fine goods are sold.


Apple Is Sued on Patent-Infringement Claim (Wall Street Journal, subscription required)


A company by the name of Intertrust Technologies Corp.—largely owned by Sony and Philips—has sued Apple for infringing its patents on Digital Rights Management in the iPhone, the iPad, Macs, the Apple TV, iTunes, iCloud, the App Store, and more. Hey, I’ve got a simple solution: Do away with all DRM.
