Looks like the 2014 iPhone will be the first iPhone that doesn’t use a Samsung made chip
Every iPhone, from the first one that shipped in 2007 to the iPhone 5 that’s in your pocket, uses a chip that was made by Samsung. Yes, Apple designs their own chips, and you’re all familiar with the A5, A6, and so on and so forth, but again, Apple simply designs the chips. They give the blueprints to Samsung to do the actual manufacturing.
