Apple offers workaround for iPhones borked by iOS 8.0.1

<p>Apple intended Wednesday’s iOS update to fix a few major problems in the latest version of its mobile operating system, but instead saw an entire category of iPhones disabled by the release. The company quickly pulled iOS 8.0.1 after iPhone 6 and 6 Plus owners reported problems with cellular connectivity and Touch ID.</p><p>Late Wednesday, Apple posted a workaround for people still struggling to fix their phones. You’ll need to connect your device to your computer to revert to iOS 8, because iCloud backups will send you back to iOS 7.
