CalDigit announces new Tuff portable USB-C drive, T4 Nano RAID

In addition to spinning 2.5-inch hard drives, the Tuff also supports solid state drives (SSD).<!--break--> Aside from the USB-C to USB-C cable, the drive will also include a USB-C to USB-A cable to let it connect to devices that lack the newer connector.</p> <p>The T4 Nano is a four-bay RAID solution with Thunderbolt 2 support that is built for SSDs. The T4 uses removable PCIe SSDs, and can be configured in RAID 0, 1, and 5. CalDigit is anticipating future upgrades to the device, and is offering a one-time upgrade program to T4 Nano owners that will allow them upgrade the device's interface connectivity when a future version of the product arrives.</p> <p>The Tuff will ship to customers in July, starting at $139.99 with a 1TB hard drive. The T4 Nano will ship at some point in Q3 2015 for $2,499.99 for the 2TB PCIe SSD model.</p> </div></div></div><img width='1' height='1' src='' border='0'/><br clear='all'/>
