All the data Apple Watch collects about your heart rate is then transferred automatically to the Health app on your iPhone. This happens more frequently during a workout, unless you make adjustments. However, you can also check your heart rate on demand whenever you'd like. Here's how!

The only way to measure your heart rate manually on Apple Watch is through Glances. By default, your heart rate is included in Glances. If you removed it, you'll have to add it back in order to manually check your heart rate. You can do so the same way you removed it, by using the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Just tap on Glances and add the Heartbeat glance back again.

If you never removed it, it's already enabled by default and you can continue on!

How to manually check your heart rate with Apple Watch

From the clock face of your Apple Watch, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access Glances.

Swipe left and right to navigate through different glances. Stop when you get to the Heart Rate glance.

Wait for a few seconds while your Apple Watch determines your heart rate and displays it.

[/url]
